Show Class goodies!

Tim from Show Class magazine was nice enough to offer a trade with some of his merchandise for a couple Death Cloak t-shirts. It was an offer I couldn't refuse. If you haven't seen the mag yet and ride motorcycles, you should check it out. I high recommend getting a subscription. This mag rules! Also, I will be working on cover art for a future issue so be on the look out for that. I am so happy that I will be contributing to something that is so cool. Thanks again Tim!

New tattoo for David Serrano.

I finally got a healed photo of David's tattoo I finished a few months back. I had a lot of fun with this one. Thanks David!

New tattoo for Krista.

Some new art friends, family and flash.

Here are a few new pieces of art. The envelope was done for a mail art trade made with Mary Joy. She is a great artist that works at Tattoo City in San Francisco CA. Please take the time to check out her work at http://www.tattoocitysf.com . I also painted this dragon for my brothers Christmas gift. He really likes the asian culture and I really like dragons. We both were very pleased with the outcome. Last but not least are the two flash designs I painted for a split set with David Flores that will only consist of 80's & early 90's designs that are reworked.

I had a lot of fun designing this sleeve for Nathan. I was very happy to hear he wanted to get a dragon sleeve since I was just talking about how I wish I could start one real soon. I guess somebody answered my request! Either way, I am very excited and honored to be able to do this tattoo for him and I can't wait to finish it!!!

Tattoo Age!

I know I am a little late on posting this series on my blog but its too good not to share it. There are some that may have not seen Tattoo Age and I only hope these videos are inspiring to you as much as they were to me. Do yourself a favor and watch the whole series, you wont be disappointed. My favorite episodes are  Freddy Corbin & Mike Rubendall! If you watch any, make sure you start with them. Enjoy!

Butterfly for Courtney

This is the second tattoo that I have done for Courtney. She asked me to tattoo a butterfly that resembled the California dog-faced. So I took the reference and traditionalized it a bit. We were both very happy on the out come of the tattoo. Here is a link to learn more about the California state insect. http://www.netstate.com/states/symb/insects/ca_insect.htm

Do what you love for a living and settle for nothing less!

I love to see family businesses like these. There is so much pride in what they do and legacy they will leave  behind will live forever. I wish I could be apart of something like this. Not motorcycles necessarily, maybe in tattooing like the Leu family. I don't really know but I would like to build something where my family now and in the future can be proud of. I will concentrate on the hard work for now and my path should come on its own. Lets hope that path will fulfill my expectations for something great then my life.

Shout out to David Serrano!

I met david within the first month of moving to Claremont in 2009. I walk into Platform skate shop and David was working there at the time. While he was helping me out we started talking about skateboarding and how we should meet up for a session at chino park soon. David probably thought I was another kook trying to re-live my early years of skateboarding. Maybe he didn't, David is a nice guy so I will give him the benefit of the doubt.  We skated the park consistently after that and became great friends. Its like I've known david as long as my oldest friends. We just click.

Here are some photos and a video that David shot of me. Send me an email if you would like any video production work done by him. Keep up the good work buddy!
